The colourful warmth of España

Current location: San Martín del Camino

Distance covered: 498* KM

Distance to Santiago: 280 KM

* (Between the time Dan left the Camino and Mel arrived, I missed 3 days of walking, therefore the distance covered is as indicated minus about 80 KM.)

We are under a canopy, about to have some home-cooked dinner at an albergue by the road. Two hammocks, an inflatable pool, a friendly black cat and very clean and crisp sheets welcomed us after a hot 20 odd KMs on the road.

Have a look at what we’ve been up to in the past few days

We walked forever and got to a ghost town with the worst albergue we had seen so far... And no one there... We decided to walk on, painfully, to the next town and got caught in a thunder storm. But it was all worthwhile in the end.
